Home: Ten Ways To Showcase Yellow At Your Place

Is winter getting the better of you?  It’s certainly getting the better of me!  I find myself aching for bright days and to feel the warmth of the sun.  What better way to inject a bit of sunshine into winter that with yellow inside your home?  We are “safe for resale” white at the current house but one of my very favourite homes has a yellow dining room.

A couple of houses ago we had a yellow family room.  I loved that space.  It always made me feel happy.  Did you know that psychologically yellow does denote happiness?  So there’s a really good reason to invest in yellow homewares.  If you surround yourself with yellow you will feel happier.  Hooray for happy colours.

I’m going to have a fair bit of yellow in the family room at the new place whilst I probably can’t justify that delicious yellow velvet button back sofa I am on the hunt for yellow cushions and bits and pieces for the wall.
