The Budget: ‘It’s a Robin Hood budget!’ said one interviewee on morning television ahead of The Budget this week. ‘The surplus is here!’ said Treasurer Wayne Swan last night as he announced a bonus of $820 for secondary students and $410 for primary.  Also announced were a $1 billion disability insurance scheme, $515 million towards dental care and news that the tax-free threshold has been tripled to $18,200. Delta Goodrem: Oh Delta. The much critiqued singer and coach of The Voice has answered her haters saying ‘I’m still human. I can’t not feel!’ She’s been labelled contrived, bland, beige etc etc, but she says she’s been through worse and she knows that the criticism levelled at her is ‘not important’.  Delta’s not really my cup of tea, but I admire anyone who works hard and puts themself out there.     I haven’t watched The Voice, so I can’t comment on that per se, but regardless of your feelings about her music, genre, personality etc, her voice is pretty amazeballs. I wouldn’t rush out and buy her albums, but that one song… Together We Are One, I think, gives me the chills when she belts those high notes. Oy!

        Also, I think if the worst complaint people can come up with is that’s she boring? That’s lame. Let’s just be glad she’s not Australia’s version of Lindsay Lohan. Haha! ^_~
