Magazines
: A deal has been struck between ACP Magazines and German publisher Bauer to sell 85 magazine titles, mags like The Australian Women’s Weekly (oh!), Woman’s Day and CLEO.  The sale needs to be okayed by the Foreign Investment Review Board before the deal is done, but it’s worth $500 million to Nine Entertainment once it’s signed, sealed and delivered.  Bauer owns 400 other titles worldwide, so this will be a welcome top-up to their already far-reaching stable of publications.  It will be so interesting to see how this will work, right?  Read on here.

Ojay: Ojay has gone into receivership. Well there you go. It’s tough out there in retail land. There’s a whole new way of doing business and a lot of retailers are struggling to adapt. Michael Clarke Duncan: So sad to hear that Green Mile star Michael Clarke Duncan has suffered a heart attack and died.  He was just 54 and engaged to wed Omarosa Manigault.  So completely unfair.  You can read The New York Times tribute to him here.
