Wednesday: Newsy Snacks For Busy People
Alcohol: A Melbourne shopkeeper disturbed by the effects that alcohol was having on his local community has torn up his liquor license and has pledged not to sell booze any more. Wow. He’s chatted to local drug and alcohol rehabilitation services and despite the fact that there are six other outlets in his area, he’s sure that his stance will make a difference. How totally admirable. Read on here.
Dingos: Wow. A thirteen year old girl who was camping with her family at Kakadu awoke to her sleeping bag being tugged from around her by a dingo. The girl’s mother says she weighs about 50 kilos, but the dingo gave it a go anyway. Far out.
Mexico City Mobile Artsy Library: This is cool! When the library proper was going to take 3 years to complete, local arts nonprofit Alumnos47 took matters into their own hands, converting a truck into a curated arts focused library and driving it through their neighbourhoods. Ace. Don’t you love a proactive project? Don’t you love a book truck?! More here.
