Channel Nine: Nine’s troubles and threatened receivership are set to impact on both programming and presenter’s salaries according to a story from News.com.au.  As Nine does some fancy footwork to make its next payment to administrators, receivership is a real threat.  Shows like Big Brother and The Voice would be reviewed and financially restructured and stars like Karl Sefanovic and Sonia Kruger could potentially face salary cuts or worse, despite their existing contracts.  More here.

Alan Jones: Hm. Despite the furore over the last couple of weeks about Alan Jones comments (on Julia Gillard’s late father), supposedly outraged advertisers who pulled out of his 2GB show are returning to the fold.  A Current Affair, Dee Why Grand Shopping Centre and The Website Marketing Group are all back and running ads within Jones’, despite withdrawing a week or so ago due to his remarks.  Obviously they weren’t that upset, right?  More here.

Russell Crowe and Danielle Spencer: Today it’s been alleged that this high-profile couple have been living separately for the last 12 months, making appearances together to put the media off the scent and maintain their privacy.  With rumours of affairs and heavy workloads swirling, ‘a friend’ has revealed that when Crowe visits Sydney he stays at Woolloomooloo while Danielle and their kids live at the Rose Bay home they bought last year.
