The Pirate Bay: One of the founders of illegal download anchor site, The Pirate Bay has been arrested in Cambodia.  Gottfrid Svartholm Warg was detained in Phnom Penh at the request of the Swedish government, following his failure to present himself to begin a one-year jail sentence for violation of copyright.  More here.

The Sapphires:  Have you seen The Sapphires? Its first screening in the US has resulted in instant Golden Globes buzz, with critics saying stuff like “This film proves to be everything that 2006′s Dreamgirls tried to be, and more.”  It’s suggested that a Golden Globe is a more likely awards-type home for this gem because it has a dedicated Musical film category.  More here.
