Facebook: The Atlantic has an interesting report about Facebook and first time parenting. Researchers studied a group of new parents and observed that those who posted on Facebook (chatting to family, posting photos of their baby and talking parenthood in general) were happier about being parents than those who did not. It found that Mums updated their accounts more after the birth of a child, and that they were more stressed, but that the support they received online lead to greater satisfaction with their new parenting role.
