Sleeping: Are you sleeping now? Obviously not, but a survey shows that if you are in bed, you are probably sharing it with a partner and possibly a child or a pet. The ABC Big Sleep Survey showed that only 22 per cent of people slept alone. It found that 70 per cent have a partner in bed, 13 per cent sleep with a their kidlet and 25 per cent with a pet. A cosy 26 per cent said they some times shared a bed with all three. More here.
Phone Bills: Holy smoke. And you think YOUR phone bill is ouchy. A French woman was more than surprised when she went to close her account and was hit with a final bill of 11,721,000,000,000,000 euros ($14.92 thousand trillion). $14.92 THOUSAND TRILLION! OMG. Apparently it took her some time to convince the company that the bill was incorrect, as they maintained they couldn’t stop the funds being debited from her account or adjust the bill. The bill was meant to be 117.21 euros and after some scrambling the entire amount was waived. Bouygues Telecom said the mix-up had been due to a printing error and a subsequent misunderstanding between the client and staff at their call centre. More here.
Guy Sebastian: Former Australian Idol winner Sebastian has reassessed his faith, apparently, becoming more informed and turning his back on some of his church’s philosophies. ”My views are more based on life and discovery and research than just what I’m told,” he says, “Because what I was told in regards to so many things was so wrong. I’ve gone from a place where I was told there was one way and only one way, to being more in a place where I don’t think anyone has the right to say what they believe is more important or more significant.” He’s spoken out in support of gay marriage ”I don’t think anyone has the right to tell someone who they can and can’t be in love with,” he said.
