Country Road: Retailer Country Road has acquired The Witchery Group ( Witchery AND Mimco) agreeing to put up $172m for over 300 outlets. The sale is expected to be finalized in October 2012 with Country Road chairman stating: ”The acquisition delivers an attractive portfolio of owned brands, greater scale, diversified revenue streams and industry leading margins.” Read more here.
Big Brother: In the never-ending stream of “must-watch’ reality television shows we have the soon to be screened Big Brother being heavily promoted ahead of its August 13 premiere. The whispers have started, with socialite and apparent lingerie footballer Ruby Jacenko being touted as a housemate. This piece on News.com.au says she is a teetotaler, likes to hang out with Kyle Sandilands and that she may or may not be going into the Dreamworld house. I am sure we will find out soon enough.
