Monday: Newsy Snacks For Busy People
Where Children Sleep: If you only look at one news story on the internet today, this is the one. Photographer James Mollison travelled the world photographing children where they sleep. The results are breath-taking. I could say a lot more, but I think you should go see for yourself.
Art Gallery Of WA: More than 100 important pieces of artwork by the likes of Picasso, Pollock and Andy Warhol have arrived in WA, on loan from New York’s Museum of Modern Art. So great! I’m very tempted to head West and see things I may never see again. More here.
Pride Of Australia Medal: The Pride of Australia Medal celebrates ‘ordinary’ Australians who are doing extraordinary things. Nominated are people like Annette Reed, who founded Rural Help At Hand, after her daughter was injured in a riding accident four years ago. RH@H assists rural patients and their families at a time of great need, when they end up in hospitals far from home due to illness or injury. Read on and nominate your own local hero via here.
Creative Mornings: SUCH a good idea. Creative Mornings is a US initiative, which has spread across the globe. Like-minded people meet monthly to sip coffee, chat and listen to a 20 minute talk by an interesting creative. Ingeniously, it’s all done and dusted by 10am, so you can flit off to work or other commitments. Excellent for the time poor inspiration seeker, there are events coming up in Sydney and Melbourne as part of the Creative Mornings first ever worldwide unified theme morning! More here.
