David Beckham: It seems Becks can do no wrong, despite being a bit of a cad. He’s still uber popular, lately seen carrying the Olympic torch and yesterday Facebooking photos of himself at his Nan’s retirement home and also taking his Mum out for a pie. Hm. More DB here (including those family snaps!)

Bruce Springsteen: At a Berlin concert on Wednesday, Mr Springsteen was very vocal (in more ways than one) about his distaste for the banking industry. He performed for 3 hours (OMG!), playing songs from his album ‘Wrecking Ball’ and singing about ”greedy thieves and robber barons” who “destroyed our families, factories and they took our homes.”  ”The banker man grows fat, working man grows thin.” He’s hardly a working class man anymore, but he’s certainly giving those who are battling some fighting words. More at the ABC.
