Friday: Newsy Snacks For Busy People
Craig Thomson: Mr Thomson has gone from Pinocchio to victim in a matter of days as he pleads for privacy and asks the Opposition not to ‘push him to the brink’. There are lots of other developments in the Thomson soap opera, but they are really too sordid and stupid to discuss here. I do feel that the pressure on him is immense and I hope this situation reaches some kind of resolution soon, because it’s taking its toll on the whole of Australia and it’s not pretty to be privy to such drama. The latest here, if you must.
Hard Work: How hard do YOU work? The BBC has a cool tool on their site where you can type in your country of origin, the hours you work and your annual leave days and it’ll tell you how your work ethic measures up against the rest of the world. Apparently I work 1373 hours more than the average Australian does in a year. Um. Really?! No way! The whole world OECD average is 1718 hours per annum. Check your work ethic here.
Gotye: The Atlantic ran a piece suggesting that Gotye is a one hit wonder and musing that his back catalogue is artsier than expected. Hm. Whatevs, dude. Read more here and leave a cross comment if you have time!
Bow Hair-Dos: We covered this story on Facebook yesterday, but in case you didn’t catch it, this little girl was banned from her school photos after her hairdresser Dad gave her a very cute hair-do for school photo day. Outrageous. If anyone has looked at the hair-dos my Mum gave me on photo day this would pale into insignificance. Poor petal. Read on here.
