Facebook: Federal Communications Minister Stephen Conroy says that Facebook should ban a now notoriously racist page which demeans Aboriginal people. Mr Conroy’s office has launched discussions with Facebook’s Australian employee, in an effort to begin forging some guidelines for use of the site in Australia.  This is good, I think.  ”We don’t live by American laws here in Australia, we live by Australian laws and this is an Australian who is using the fact that Facebook is based in the US to get away from Australian laws.” Mr Conroy stated. Employment: Australia’s unemployment rate has dropped from 5.3 to 5.2% in the last month. UBS interest rate strategist Matthew Johnson says that if our unemployment rate steadies or decreases, we can kiss goodbye to interest rate cuts for the time being. Lying: Wow. A study by researcher and psychologist Anita Kelly of the University of Notre Dame has found that people who lie have poorer health than those who stay on the straight and narrow. Kelly and her team studied a group of 110 people, asking half not to lie and then examined their health at the end of the research period.  The non fibbers had better mental health and fewer physical ailments.  Wow. How do they know that the non fibbers didn’t fib? I do not know. More at Good.
