Technology: Australians are paying WAY too much for technology, says Choice, revealing that we are paying about TWICE as much for digital downloads, hardware and software as our US counterparts. Parenting: A new study by Pediatrics has found that administering ‘harsh physical punishment’ to your children increases the risk of them developing a mental illness. Researchers examined pushing, grabbing, shoving, slapping and hitting and found that those who were disciplined in these physical manners were 1.5 times more likely to suffer from a mood disorder and 1.6 times more likely to have problems with alcohol. Super interesting and yet another wonderful reason to find other ways to discipline children. Read the full report here.
