MOG: Telstra have launched this new online music streaming service, joining the ranks of Spotify and Rdio, and offering subscription based access to 16 million tracks from as little as $6.99 a month. Our very own Clare Bowditch: ”For over a decade now we’ve been living in a rapidly changing world thanks to technology and what music subscription does is allow people to move away from piracy,” she said. ”And from a consumer point of view it’s pretty mind blowing in terms of the number of artists you can discover.”  I’m totally into this. I think that these services are a really convenient, efficient way to get the music you want. And there is really NO NEED to illegally download when you’ve got 16 million tracks at your fingertips, now is there? Read on here.

E-Health: From July 1st, the Federal Government’s new E-Health system rolls out. E-Health will store our medical records on one central (encrypted) system, so that you will never again have to repeat your medical history if you visit a new doctor or attend hospital.  You can register at Medicare if you’d like to be part of this. Forage Kitchen: This is a great San Fransisco based initiative which is trying to get a kick start. They’re doing all kinds of great stuff, but basically the aim is to set up a small food producers HQ, with a shared commercial kitchen, cafe and event space, where people can come and legally produce their cottage industry type food, swap produce, possibly grow stuff on the rooftop garden or just hang out and talk food. I have to say I’m clueless about all these new music sharing sites. I still buy ACTUAL cd’s from the shops!! Maybe I should look into it…but what about the artists? If I’m only paying 6 bucks a month for 16 million songs what do they get?

I like the idea of having all my medical records in the one place. The older I get the harder it is for me to remember everything that’s ever been wrong with me lol!

    Also, I want that diary….
