Let’s admit it, we’re all a little bit obsessed with food, aren’t we?  In Summer we can’t get enough crunch and garden fresh goodness. And in Winter (like NOW!) it’s all about warming, soothing, slow cooked concoctions. Yum.

It’s getting particularly chilly in Melbourne this week, perhaps it’s like that where you are too? For me, the antidote to chills is a pair of very ugly fluffy slippers, a scarf and a bit of kitchen time. No. That’s not all I am wearing. Those are my accessories, dude. Of course I am wearing a cute outfit. With a jumper. And warm socks. And a hat. Yep. I’m not the kind of girl who’d just sport slippers and a scarf. What WERE you thinking. Smack!

What better kitchen antidote is there for chilly bits than a warming bowl of curry? I think that soup comes a close second, but NOTHING heats things up like a spicy something with rice or roti. Yum.  Today I’ve chosen some of the best curry recipes from across the internet.  Some are vegetarian (because we ALWAYS consider vegetarians at JustB!) and some are not. All of them are super delish. Let’s do curry, loves!

Are you into spicy stuff? Do you like curry? Is it part of your life? Has it always been so? Do tell!

    OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!! I’m a curryaholic!!!!
The spicier, the better! My mum is Aussie, my dad is Indian… but it was mum who taught me how to cook (including the best Indian curries ever!!). Then I took the family to Bangkok for 3 years, so am now also addicted to Thai curries.. and Singaporean… and… Gosh – I would die without my Charmaine Solomon cookbooks… covers EVERYTHING!!

Pakistani ‘old clothes’ beef curry (nihari) must be worth trying for the name alone. Add everyday pantry ingredients, slow-cooking and the promise of meat that falls apart and I might have found a new family favourite.
