Hello, I'm Sophie Hansen, a freelance writer and farmer (or at least married to one). Over the past 15 years I have worked as a features and food writer for a range of magazines from Australian Table to BBC Good Food. I spent a few years living in Northern Italy working for the Slow Food movement's Slow magazine and for the past six have lived here in Orange with my husband Tim and more recently, daughter Alice and son Thomas. On our farm we grow deer and then sell our venison at farmers markets. I recently started a blog called Local is Lovely, a collection of recipes and resources for people who love farmers and eating locally. Because it's lovely.

Queensland based Liss Winnel writes Daydream Lily, a blog about beautiful things, must-haves and dreamy days. Liss is a total design and fashion buff.  When she's not blogging she is taking photos, hugging her pup or hunting for cute vintage things to dot about her home.  She's been blogging since 2008, is a Frankie Magazine favourite and has designed a couple of clothing ranges with local label Element, too.

Gourmet Girlfriend blogs quite regularly about food and family life from her Melbourne kitchen table. She's a clog loving, Marimekko coveting, coffee sipping culinary superstar.  She's the mother of  five awesome boys and the wife of one man.  Phew!

Bianca Wordley is an Adelaide-based freelance writer, publisher of the successful blog, bigwords, and the mother of three girls under the age of six. She is a journalist and has worked for over a decade for national and international print and broadcast media organisations. When Bianca isn't writing and mothering, she is communicating with other like-minded social media addicts on Twitter and Facebook. She also has a penchant for reality television programs, gin and Maggie Beer pate. The formerly fashionable NDM had three children and discovered that brown is the new black the hard way. The force behind the once-was-blog Not Drowning, Mothering, she now very occasionally writes for the sometimes-blog The NDM. In her spare time, she enjoys baking cakes, cyber-hassling advertising executives and collecting photos of unusual objects made out of paperclips.

Jane Kennedy loves cooking and eating food, but she can’t eat whatever she wants because she gets FAT. She also really loves indulgent, comfort food but it doesn’t appear to love her bottom. Jane Kennedy began her career alongside comedy team The D-Generation on a number one breakfast FM show, and on television with the now classic The Late Show. She co-wrote, produced, directed, and starred as the ruthless reporter Brooke Vandenberg, in Frontline, a satire about the current affairs industry. Jane was the co-producer of the movies The Dish and, the film recently voted Australia’s favourite of all time, The Castle. She continues to work behind the scenes at Working Dog as Casting Director on shows such as The Hollowmen and Thank God You’re Here. I can be found in the laundry, folding laundry, sorting laundry and dropping off the dry cleaning. I am mum to two boys, boss of my husband and master of a cat and two guinea pigs.
