Kramer vs Kramer was one of the first movies that made a BIG impact on me. Meryl Streep played icy beautiful to Dustin Hoffman’s bumbling relatability.  I could not stop looking at her.  Her lovely hair, her perfect face, her effortlessly stylish ways. She was amazing.  I really wanted her to stay with Dustin and be a family with their cute kid let. (Spoiler Alert : she didn’t! Oh!)

Since that first Meryl memory I have watched her in a whole host of films, and you probably have too. Her slouchy style in Manhattan. Her crazy late 70s get-ups in Evil Angels. Her mullet in Silkwood. All the way through to her grey helmet in The Iron Lady and her chortling, buttoned up, curliness in Julie and Julia.

Today on The Way She Wore, we’re paying tribute to the style and grace of Meryl Streep. Here’s a little trip through Meryl’s looks and life.  Enjoy the ride!

I loved Meryl in The Hours.  Nicole might have won the Oscar but I was blown away by Meryl’s performance.  I spent the next couple of winters trying to emulate her character’s casual “thrown together” look.

Meryl is great!!  Such a stunner and legendary person.  She can do no wrong.

I love these posts on famous ladies’ style through the decades, Pip!  Maybe Angelica Houston or Stevie Nicks or Joanna Lumley or Chrissy Amphlett could be next?  Or Pricilla Presley?  So many to choose from!!
