I am a huge fan of Etsy. It’s a total treasure trove of handmade and vintage greatness, with online stores stretching across the world and independent makers and gatherers showing the most unique, on-trend and varied items. The good thing about Etsy is that you can support someone who may have a tiny business (or indeed a lounge room business), rather than shopping at one of the ‘big’ shops for mass-produced stuff.
I love Etsy because I can shop small, I can shop unique and I can have a relationship with the person I am buying from (but not in a creepy way!) Etsy really is like an online marketplace.
There are tons of clever, interesting stall-holders vying for position. And the market economy keeps prices fair (actually, sometimes a little TOO fair!) and ensures that stock is ever-changing.
