I love a dress. I rarely wear jeans, because I find them uncomfy and a bit unflattering on my body type, so I spend my days frocking about in dresses of many shapes and prints.

For me,  a great dress is all about the print or cut (or both!) It’s got to fit in the right places and conjure up Summery thoughts or invite nice times. And above all, it’s got to make me feel cute (even on those days when I am not particularly cute!)

I am into vintage dresses, for sure, but today I’ve scouted new frocks in various price points. It’s much easier to find your size in a new dress, right?!  And you can check your measurements against the size chart to get the right fit, which is important.

Have a click-through and see if there’s anything that makes you want a new frock.  Of course, you don’t have to buy one of these, but maybe they will provide some inspiration for your next thrift store trip or sewing adventures! Let’s go!

If you could choose any of these, which one would you choose?!  Do you wear dresses?

Hey Jo, the Dorothy Perkins dresses usually go up to size 20 or so… click through there (it’s the mustard one) ALSO ASOS does a great range of frocks for ladies who are size 12 and over. Click through from the cute green ‘Lodge’ dress. x

I would choose the Lodge print dress- if I was willing to pay $500++ for it but I do love a dress with sleeves – as I see you do too!

We could just make something similar… inspired by, right?! xx

I love wearing frocks and skirts, usually both at the same time – a skirt under a frock. I even do the gardening in them.

But I do like that Randy Tea Dress, just lovely!

i an not wear jeans- I am too short & too much ‘built for comfort’.
but i LOVES me a frock!
the Sketchy was my fave….sooooo pretty!
but I will keep sewing my own at that price!
in fact it has been a few weeks since I sewed myself some frockery….must be time to hit the pedal again I think!
