My children tell me I have a ‘thing’ for shoes. I think that’s grossly unfair, because really I have a ‘thing’ for clogs. And sandals. And cloggy boots. And that’s it. I mean, it’s hardly a blanket shoe thing, right? It’s much more specialized than that.
Granted, some people do go in for shoes of all kinds, but I am MUCH more narrow-minded in my shoe amour. I know what I like. And if it’s not cloggy, wooden soled, sandally, floral or metallic, I’m totally not into it. That’s narrow right? Sort of? In a wooden way?!
Lucky for me (us?!) the internet is a total Aladdin’s Cave of shoe delight. No. Scratch that. Maybe the internet is Prince Charming, and the whole world is attending the Ball looking for the perfect pair of kicks or clogs or pumps or mules, hoping to god that they will succeed in fit and form like Cinderella did. (But quite often pretending that half-size won’t matter and hobbling more like one of those ugly step sisters…)
