Let’s talk about Summer dresses. Let’s talk about dresses for Christmas Day or beyond.  Personally, I like a maxi dress. They cover a multitude of lumps and bumps and you can hide your hairy legs under them, too.  You are lucky to have a pal like me, because I’ve scouted about the internet to find cute frocks for your hairy legs.  And it’s not just me doing the leg work, Nikki’s style chat on our Facebook page the other night revealed a couple of these, while a bit of online detective work revealed the rest.

These really are the perfect holiday attire, because you look like you’ve made a whole lot of effort, but really you’ve just pulled a frock over your head. No mix and match required. Just frock and go!  I give you the Maxi parade…  Start throwing your confetti and streamers now!

These are my super faves.  Which ones do you like?  I like a sleeve myself, but I totally support your right to be sleeveless, or strapless, perhaps not topless though. That’s for a different kind of blog…

Are you a maxi fan? Do you hate the word maxi? Do you want to introduce yourself to the JustB gang?  We are a friendly bunch!

xx Pip

I adore the idea of a maxi frock, BUT I do not own one. Why? You may well ask. Because I am a 5 foot 2 midget type and have never found one that doesn’t drag on the ground and make me look like a kid in Mum’s old ball gown for dress-ups! Wish I could find a label that makes them for us shorter grrrrls. Also have to be careful because some have so much fabric in them, that it totally swaps me, like a circus tent!

      He he “swamps”!

I like you and your stature, Ms! I really do! I do not want you to be swapped or swamped, for that matter! x

I’m not super short but I also feel like I would look swamped in one of those. Think they do look best on the tall & willowy types. Love that Birdsnest website though, thanks!

The Birdsnest site is great, isn’t it?! I had not seen it until I started scouting for maxis! xx

Thanks to you Pip I saw this post and whizzed up to Sussans and bought two maxi dresses. The Chevron one looks great on all. They owe you a dress. ;)

Oh that’s so GREAT, Kate! I saw that dress in the Bourke St store (the Chevron one!) I thought it was so cute, and such fresh lolly coloured stripes!
