Well. Today we got a question from a JustB reader. She’s in a spot of bother and needs MY help. OMG. Do you think she knows who she is dealing with? I once matched my eyeshadow to my dress AND shoes. Hm. Read on…
Dear Pip,
I am having trouble with my wardrobe. It’s not that the door sometimes sticks, that is the least of my worries, it’s when I open the door that the trouble begins. It’s not that some moths sometimes fly out. That is not my problem. It’s not my secret desire to fumble around through the hanging things calling ‘Mr Tumnus! Edward! Mr and Mrs Beaver! Are you there?!’ either. I agree that is problematic, but that’ s not it. The things is, I don’t really like what is IN my wardrobe. And I’m not sure what to buy, either.I’ve noticed that fashion has taken a floppy, neutral turn of late, or else it’s so colourful that I must avert my eyes. There is even talk of American Indian Tribal Trends, but that does not seem to make much sense in Australia, now does it?
What I’m after is something non-neutral, non floppy, not tribal and only a BIT colourful. Can you help?
Yours worriedly,
Octavia*
Well, Octavia. I am going to endeavour to help you. I am not a stylist, like JustB Nikki, but I am into looking CUTE. I am a cute-ist. Let me show you what I think is cute for Autumn (because land sakes and blessings, Summer is nearly over!)
Blazer by Modcloth : Dress by Gorman : Satchel by Cambridge Satchel Company for ASOS : Boots by Sanita : Earrings by Victoria Mason : Necklace by Emily Green : Tights by Leona Edmiston : Prices and links here
There you go, Ms Octavia. What do you think? Cute, a bit colourful and practical too. A bit of local design and some bargains from further afield too. Do you think that’s how you might roll? I think it might be. Thank you so much for your letter. All the best with the moths and the hooved people, too.

Octavia aside, do you like this look? Which bits are best? Do you like flowers? Have you bought your boots for this year? Do you fancy a satchel? Are you thinking The Beavers might turn up in your wardrobe one day? How is it for YOU, JustBees?
xx Pip
* This letter may be a fabrication and, in fact, an excuse to write a fashion post… Just maybe…
