If you know me, you will know that I am colourful. I like lots of colour in my life. I really do. My home is full of bursts of colour and my wardrobe is too. This does not make me a crazy clown lady, though. Nope. I like to temper the colour with lots of well worn neutrals. I think the contrast makes the colour even cuter (and a bit easier on the eye too!) Sort of less clown and more Down-Town. (But not in a rude way.)
Today, in my Cute Looks For Rad Ladies series, I thought I would show you how I would wear the Tribal/Tex/Mex trend. I am a bit too old to pair lots of bright, geometric pieces together, so out comes the neutrals. Some wooden bangles. Some chunky wooden beads. An updated nod to the 80s cropped denim jacket. Some modern yet not art deco earrings. And a cute bag. Presto! Cute-ness!
If you are a bit more wallflower-y than me, you could do a neutral bag and let the frock and the boots speak for themselves. It’s totally up to you. A brown leather satchel would work a treat.
I give you Cute Looks For Rad Ladies : Tribal Tex Mex Rad. Which pieces do you like?
