Do you like books? I do. I have quite the obsession and every time we have to move house my boyfriend gives me multiple scowls as he loads box after box onto a trolley and lugs them through rooms, down stairs, along paths and into other rooms. Ugh. It’s heavy, man.

I have hundreds of books. My favourites are cookbooks, books about creativity or craft and vintage children’s books. They’re dotted all over our house in various shelves and I look at one or two every single day. A great book is like a tonic, to me.  It’s a source of comfort and inspiration and it usually marks the time in my life when I bought it, so it’s a kind of memory sparker too!

If you love books, you probably get giddy at the sight of a library, or a book shop or even bookshelves. Yes?  There’s something comforting about the reliable look, smell, even feel of a book that can’t be beat.  Books can tell you things. Books can take you places. Books can make everything alright. If you bundle all that telling and taking and alright-ness into one room, the results are completely fabulous and utterly happy making.

For you, on this Thursday, I give you many beautiful bookshelves!  Go forth and gaze upon their radness!

    I too love books.
    SO very much.
When my kids friends have birthdays we ALWAYS give a book as a gift.
I am one of those people who doesn’t think you can have TOO many books.
No e-book will ever replace the intoxicating smell of a well thumbed book
