Continuing on with our Armchair Neat Freak series, I thought we should visit the living room. We are suffering a heat wave in Melbourne at the moment, and I know that most living rooms will be littered with sleeping people, pedestal fans, melted Frosty Fruits and huge glasses of water.  As an antidote to this hotness, I thought it would be  a very good idea to peruse some lovely sweat-free living rooms, the kind that aren’t sweltery or parched.

These living rooms are just the opposite of that. They are cool and pretty and poised and fresh. Kind of like we all want to be, really. They are a neat,  nice beacon in a post New Year’s meteorological apocalypse.  Yes.  They are like a tall glass of iced tea in the interiors department.     We’re in Adelaide, which is massively hot too! Thankfully we only have had 4 days over 35 degrees… instead of the 14 we had a couple of years ago! Tomorrow I’m planning on getting out in the garden, as it’s only going to be 28 degrees, but for now I’m sitting in my newly tidied living room, on my newly cleared couch, under my newly installed ceiling fan, soaking in the cool inside air! I LOVE the first and second photos… I want them both to be mine, in another city where it isn’t hot!!! x

    Oh wow, I especially love the second photo, with the leaf green walls! I would love to have walls like that, it would feel like I was in a forest everytime I sat on the couch.

      I have a deep blue wall in my living room and it feels like I’m in a deep cool pond! I think you are right about that green wall, JessB! x
