Food : Twenty Two Super Soups : Warm Up!

It’s been super chilly in Melbourne over the last few days. Extra blanket, heater on high, warmer socks kind of chilly. Is it chilly where you are? Brrrr.

As soon as the weather gets all crispy and damp like this, I switch into comfort mode.  At least once a day I need a steamy bowl of soup or pasta or slow cooked warmth.  I need to spoon feed some cosy into the mix. I even need to spread this cosy through my household and make my family warm up too. Are you like that? Do these kinds of foods define the cooler months for you, too?

Granted, I am still eating lots of crunchy, raw deliciousness, because green vegetables are so GOOD at the moment too.  But a bowl of something warming sits on the side so I can balance my crispy with my cosy.

          Aw. I’m sorry about that. We need to use the images so you can see what the dish looks like. And it’s good for us to show one image per page because it LOOKS lovely. We’re working on a better solution though, for an easier experience. Please don’t be cross. x

    I am on a soup making frenzy too with all this cold weather. This week I have made, Chicken & Vegie, Red lentil & Roast Pumpkin, Wonton Noodle, Thai Pumpkin & my Broccoli & Pea soup. LOVE soup so much. So much comfort.
