Food: Eleven Ace Raw Food Recipes

Have you jumped on the raw food trend? Well. It sounds a little bit passive aggressive to call it a trend. It’s more of a MOVEMENT, really. A whole bunch of rad health seeking people eating a whole bunch of healthy things, crunching their way through raw broccoli salads, halved avocados filled with cherry tomato vinaigrette, spaghetti that’s made out of zucchini, freshly sprouted sprouts. Cool!

The raw food movement has its roots planted firmly in seasonal, often organic, super fresh produce. I’m a big fan (although I don’t only eat raw) because I think seasonal makes perfect sense in every way, and keeping the nutrients as bountiful as possible is a good idea too. Fruit and vegetables stay jam-packed with goodness if they are raw (although I am a big fan of cooking them too!)  And why wouldn’t you want to crunch your way through your lunch?!

If you’re trying to eat a bit cleaner or recover from a bit of an unhealthy festival of snacking on everything that looks inviting, then maybe raw food is something you might want to try? Luckily, Spring is knocking on our door.  That means it’s the perfect time to hone old habits or begin fresh new ones.  Like raw food.  Do you wanna raw with me?
