Your Weekend : Ten Delish Cupcakes To Make

For a while there, it  was cupcakes, cupcakes, cupcakes. Of late the spotlight has shifted to the light deliciousness of macarons. Macarons are nice and all, but I like to make sure that our old faves are honoured and not forgotten.  I thought we could take a few minutes silence to honor cupcakes.  They have been there with us probably since Pre-Prep.  Their simple cuteness topped with icing and 100s & 1000s are possibly the most loved (and licked!) of all our party-going childhoods.

I really super love a simple cupcake with buttercream icing. My nanna used to do them with glace icing, so that it would set and the sprinkles would not fall off. And other people like to booze or lolly or fruit them up.  I’ve trawled through 239 zillion cupcake recipes (my job is SO difficult!) to find these ones. I think they are delish.  It’s good to mix it up and divert from the standard vanilla cupcake sometimes, I reckon.  So here are some fancier flavours for your snacking pleasure.
