If you read this blog often, you will know that I am heavily into picnics. I am in love with the Magic Faraway Tree meets Famous Five nostalgia of packing a basket and hitting the road, or the park, or the beach. I think that there’s nothing better, sometimes, then being far from home snacking on delicious things and surveying the countryside.
It’s totally fine to grab some fish and chips and eat them fresh from the butcher’s paper with little squeeze sauces. Those picnics are great. And it’s totally fine to unwrap a sandwich and pop open a juice and sip and snack your afternoon away. That’s great too. BUT today, I’m sort of celebrating the more traditional picnic, the kind with a fancy basket or kit. The kind that makes you feel smugly satisfied in the knowledge that you are not only very organised, but you have a swoon worthy set up and rad picnic style!
These are some of my very favourites in the Picnic Department. Cute ideas, lovely vessels, pretty plates, clever packaging. It all goes a very long way towards making your picnic beautifully appointed and the envy of passers-by.
