Bread. Yum. I’m watching what I eat, so I’m on bread-y rations of one grainy slice a day. I can totally make that one slice feel like a feast, topping it with sliced cherry tomatoes, sea salt and freshly ground pepper. Or I might try a little bit of avocado and some chilli and lemon. Although TODAY I regressed and had my toast with tinned spaghetti, because I was feeling a bit sooky and childhood favourites are the best way forward in those circumstances.
I’m actually quite a good baker. I make a really simple no-knead Pane Toscano sometimes. It turns out lovely and bubbly with a chewy crust, just perfect for mopping up all kinds of delicious dishes. Or sometimes I make these dinner rolls. And this overnight rise casserole dish bread that I often do is really good too!
Do you ever make bread? What kind of bread do YOU make? Here’s eleven FRESH bread ideas, in case you want to try (or try something new!)
(This just sounds so good: Caramelized onion, bacon & gruyere cheese monkey bread, via Dinner Or Dessert)
Do you love bread?! I do!
