We’ve already deduced that we all love cakes here at JustB. In fact we love baking and desserts and chocolate AND cakes. I’m thinking because it’s NEARLY the weekend, you might have some time on your hands!  I’m thinking you might want to bake something. I’m thinking you might need some good ideas, too!

Do you want to bake something? You do? Here are 10 Ace Cakes To Bake.  Get the ingredients on the way home, wake up late-ish tomorrow, stay in your PJs and shake it while you bake it!

If you’d like the recipes, just click on each image. That’ll take you where you need to go.  Happy Weekend, lovely Bees!  Tell me if you bake a cake…. even if it’s not one of these!  Or drop in a link to a favourite recipe of cakey blog post, if you’d like to do that!  Save me a slice, if you please!

xx Pip

That double choc cake is so mine this weekend!!!
My fave cake to bake is orange & poppy seed but nobody in my family likes it so I never bake it any more….sad….. but we ALL love chocolate cake so I shall bake that to welcome my hubby home :)

My fam is fussy like that too! I like Carrot Cake and they don’t :( That makes me very sad. BUT chocolate cake makes them happy, so that makes me happy too. (Even though I would rather carrot!)
      Happy Baking, Reannon! x

It is working now! Sorry about that, PaperIvy! It’s cake time now! x

Yummo! Already whipped up a pav and a batch of rocky road to take to friends tonight and just gathering the ingredients to create a family fave – Great-Grandma’s banana cake with caramel icing! My grandma taught me the way her mother taught her – it ALWAYS has to be in a ring tin and you must take the icing outside to beat it with a wooden spoon (a figure8 and lots of little circles around the edges, repeated until it is just right to pour!). I’m a stickler for tradition and last week I decided not to go outside and the icing went that bit too far to pour! So today I will brave the 37 degrees and make it the way Great Grandma intended.

Oh that’s so cool, Julie! I love those family recipes. They have to be done JUST SO and there is a whole GANG of people who know JUST what things should taste like/look like. There’s not getting away with shortcuts when it’s a family recipe! Thanks for sharing your baking rules with us! xx

Thanks Pip. I’m hearting the apple cake… and the raspberry, lemon, lime cake, although I have a sneaky suspicion I may succumb to the ease of the smartie and kitkat cake for my 4 year old’s birthday!

I think that one looks DELISH! I think it would TASTE super good!!! x

I looove weekend baking! It’s one of my fave things to do <3
I'm booked in for whipping up some Green Tea cupcakes this weekend (to celebrate Chinese New Year), but I'm totally inspired after seeing these pics.
Fruit tingle cake may just be a winner for something a bit "diff"… But truthfully, I'd give them all a go!
