Have you been visiting us here for very long? Perhaps you are new? Or maybe you have followed our JustB story since the beginning and watched us grow? Thank YOU, whichever it is!  If you are not familiar with Armchair Neat Freak, then let me tell you more. Sometimes we WANT to be neat. Sometimes we WANT our houses to be full of interesting, quirky good design. Often, in fact, we do.  Sometimes we want to know what the next big thing in pouffes is. Perhaps we are hankering after a chaise longue (and are impressed with ourselves that we know how to spell that!?) Perhaps we need to be in touch with what’s on trend, be it Ikat or Floral or Tribal or Chevron.

The Armchair Neat Freak let’s us do all that from the comfort of our own worn out couch, whilst we drink Milo and watch The Bachelor and stare crossly at those rustic chairs we found on the side of the road and meant to paint… 3 years ago.

Today The Armchair Neat Freak is focused on pretty dining out of doors. By all means get inspired and dine outdoors. We dare you.  Or you could look at these nice pictures and pretend to be outdoors, from the comfort of your Armchair. It’s your call, really!

Do you dine outdoors sometimes? How do you keep the chill off? Are bugs a problem?  Do you like a lap blanket alfresco?  Which table do you love the most? Or are you an indoorsy person?  How is it for you, JustBees?!

xx Pip

I love the peachy, corally goodness colours at the moment, mixed with shiny coppers, and a pop of yellow, it’s bright, happy perfection. I would love to be sitting at that table sipping a lovely rosé, I don’t think my vegemite sandwich is going to cut it for lunch today.

Rosy peachy rose in a peachy corally cushiony setting sounds perfecto to me!!!

I used have to achieve the fully styled outdoor experience or stay indoors. Now I reign in the inner control freak and we take our dinner plates outdoors on a whim, light a couple of candles and enjoy the serenity… or chat to the neighbours over the fence. It means we don’t use the rather charming picnic gear I’ve collected over the years, but we definitely eat (and talk, and chill) outdoors more often.

Oh I LOVE a whim. Sometimes it is a bit too easy to talk ourselves out of things that seem like an effort…. but a whim is rarely an effort! xx

We like to dine outdoors sometimes. It’s not very fancy, but it’s still lovely. We just have a simple outdoor setting with an umbrella for shade and take our plates out there if the weather is nice. Sometimes we’ll pop the outside light on so we can sit outside after dark once the heat of the day has passed, with a glass of wine. The Husbando and I have had some lovely conversations in this manner. I love the image (fourth to last) that’s a little dark and moody with blankets, fairy lights, wooden stools and a huge tree in the background. It looks delightful!

Oh gosh. I want to come and have a glass of wine under you tree too. I think that sounds pretty lovely!

I wonder what conversations I’d have in one of these outdoor dining experiences. And if I’d be able to resist the urge to run down the hill on the crispy outdoorsyness scene.

Or even roll down the hill, like when we were kids!! xx
