My Creative Space : DIY Carpet

So, I finally finished of my little carpet sampler.

I probably should have scoured the internet BEFORE I began my little full stop spot. There are some seriously great ideas floating around all just about all of them look less labour intensive than my little stitched flecks of neon. I had originally planned on “stitching” something larger scale for the family room at the new house. After spending time peering at this fabulous DIY efforts I am sure I can do better!

I’m particularly drawn to the flor tile carpet which I think looks rather like a tangram and I am a complete sucker for a tangram anything!

So here’s a lesson for you guys…maybe google BEFORE you start your making. It might save you a whole lot of time and possibly a fair few blisters too.
