Yes! It’s time for our weekly guide to using colour at your place. Are you following along? Every week, I’m gathering up a cheerful chunk of interior good looks (in a particular shade) and collating them into one easy-to-inspire post for your pondering pleasure.

This week, we are singing the blues. Sorry. I had to say that. But we’re doing it in a really non-sad, non-angsty way. We’re doing it in a sophisticated, pretty and stylish way. Not since Ella Fitzgerald has the blues been so captivating. Well. That is a bit of a fib, but the thing is, blue doesn’t have to be cold and distant. Using blue in your home can have cosy, soothing, compelling results if you approach it in the right way.

Here’s ten ways to go blue at your place. You don’t have to go overboard, but a splash in the right place might be just the ticket?

I’m quite into the pastel blue kitchen in these shots, and the peacock blue velvet sofa…  And the blue wallpaper is pretty rad too, isn’t it?

Are you into blue? I have one deep blue feature wall in our upstairs lounge room, and it’s my very favourite wall. It’s sort of like looking at the ocean, except we are right in the heart of the city.  I like it a lot. How about you? Do you do blue?

I am not sure, Deedee, sorry! You could try printing it out and taking it to your local paint shop? x
