Are you the florally kind? In theory I really am, but I don’t have a flowery garden and I live in the inner city where flowers are about as reasonably priced as French champagne. Bugger.
Still, I think it’s a pretty great idea to make room for flowers, don’t you? I’m thinking if I REALLY DO remember to turn every light off when I leave the room. And if I walk as often as possible rather than take the car, then it’ll make room in the budget for a floral makeover.
See what I did there?! Not only do I get to justify buying flowers, but I will be fitter and greener for doing it. Win!
I have a floral pedigree, you see. My Nanna loves flowers a lot, and there was always a ‘significant rose’ on our lounge room table when we were growing up. We knew the rose must be either a) beautifully fragranced or b) a very pretty colour. So you see, I’ve been in training since way back then.
I’m going to go to the market and pick ups some beautifully fragranced blooms to brighten up my place. And I’m going to browse this gallery of floral delight and gather a bit of inspiration in the colour and shape department. Are you going to do that too?
Why don’t you make some room in your budget for flowers? Or maybe you could go for a lovely walk with a pair of scissors and a little basket? Nudge nudge, wink wink!
