Vintage wallpaper comes in many guises. You can do the Nanna thing and have things come up (wallpaper-y) roses. Or you can take it in the mod direction and go with the bold geometrics of the sixties. Maybe neither of those are your cup of tea and you prefer something kitschy fifties or flocked seventies? There’s room for whichever era you choose at your place, as long as YOU love it.
I think the trick to using vintage wallpaper is to pair it with some contemporary pieces to balance things out. I’m quite smitten with the now-meets-then approach of pretty floral wallpaper teamed with some masculine pieces and pops of bright colour. You don’t want things harking back TOO much, so some modern pieces will help to balance out the nostalgia in these prints.
