Mostly, at our place when we were growing up, Easter was about the egg hunt. We would gleefully tumble from our beds, bunnies and humpty dumptys flying across the room, and wake any tardy siblings before launching ourselves into the freezing Easter morning and running at any glint of coloured foil that might catch our eye.  Phew! Later, we’d warm up in front of the heater and count our bounty, swapping  colours or sizes we didn’t LOVE amongst ourselves. Nice.

I think there are other Easter traditions that are kinda nice, too. Making Eastery snacks is an especially good one. As lovely as Easter eggs are, nothing beats the made-with-love approach, I think. (And also that means more eggs for YOU!)

Would you like to make something cute and delicious for Christmas? Did you grow up with the egg hunt, or did you have other lovely traditions? Are you a secret Easter Bunny?

We give a little bit of chocolate to each other at Christmas, but the big thing in our household has always been pajamas! Mum always bought us a new pair of flannelette pjs, or ugh boots or dressing gown…whichever we needed. I love our tradition and I still do it today, even at 26! :)

Aaah! I’m so sleepy. I’m typing this in bed…I meant EASTER of course. Geez. Time for me to go to sleep. And I spelt pyjamas wrong too. Goodnight!
