I’m not sure how you shop, but we tend to do a couple of big shops each month and then we top up via local markets and independent grocers. This is how we a) save money and b) make sure we are supporting small traders too. We get staples in bulk at the big guys, and then get vegetables, bread, meat and fish from the little guys. We try really hard to be super conscious of where we are spending and what we are spending, because we ran our own small business for more than 20 years, and know how important local support is.
It’s in this vein that I wrote this post. I am thinking that maybe YOU might want to think about how you are spending your money too. But not only that, maybe you want to MAKE the kinds of things you normally buy at the big shops, just because it’s fun and will taste 20 million times better?
I’ve searched high and low for the best home-made recipes for things like ricotta, mozzarella, butter, cordial, salsa, Nutella, jam, bread and more. Bookmark this post and start revolutionising your fridge, dinner table and shopping habits, too!
Does this make you want to DIY? What would you like to try first, do you think?
xx Pip
