Creative Cue | Taking Inspiration from Materials

I’ve been thinking a lot about how much of my creative thinking is around the materials I have on hand or what I’m attracted to at that moment in time when inspiration strikes.

I wonder if you know what that’s like? In the kitchen maybe the ingredient of the moment is quinoa and you’re making absolutely every quinoa dish you can get your hands on. At this very moment neon builder’s twine is my quinoa. All I want to do is neon(ify) everything in sight. Nothing is safe from the neon twine.

Just because I had the twine out I wrapped a couple of op shopped glasses. I think that I’m going to pull all this neon crazy stuff together in the smallest’s bedroom and who doesn’t need some pretty pencil cups or vases or tea light holders right?

Here’s a little how to – not that you need it. This is craft for the gifting. Speedy quick and yet super effective and cute.
