Be Creative, Be Organized

I love the idea of an organised life. With a house full of tween & teens things get out of control pretty quickly and we seem to run around chasing our tails for much of the week. I decided that I needed to encourage everyone to take a bit more responsibility for themselves by adding to their activities, taxi requirements etc to a weekly organiser. I headed to Officeworks to see what I could DIY. Of course I could have just purchased a ready made planner but I’m all about the personal and I figured it would be a bit of fun to fashion something myself. I piced up a couple of boxes of A5 Clipboards.
Then I decided to go for a colour that nobody would be able to miss! Yep – neon pink was the obvious choice. I purchased a packet of the fluro pink paper.
Now to make the “whiteboard” surface. Off to the contact aisle for me… I bought a roll of clear contact (which we all know never goes astray).
Finally we needed to have the write equipment! I chose the fine line whiteboard markers … nice and neat. We’ll have no stubby scrawl at our place thanks.

Supplies are all in order and onto the fun stuff. It’s really just about the easiest project going around.
First I just chose a font and printed out the days of the week + one (because I like even numbers).
Then I made a template of the clipboard and cut out the pink paper to size.
Next I stuck the contact over the paper (leaving an overhang to wrap around the back of the clipboard.
Hey presto – you’re done.
