Do you know how to crochet? I do. I really am totally in love with crochet, and plan to spend my whole weekend with a hook and some yarn, in fact. Does that take your fancy?! Perhaps you don’t know how to crochet? That’s okay. A few years ago, I didn’t know how to either. I tried and tried and tried and eventually I worked out how to do it. NOW I teach other people how, too. (You can click over here and learn by video, if you would like to!)
There’s a kind of crochet called Amigurumi. It’s a neat, tight crochet (or sometimes knitted) that’s stitched in rounds or circle shapes. Originating in Japan, it’s a bit of a world-wide phenomenon and often involves making adorable animals with doe eyes and floppy limbs. Does that sound good to you? You can learn more about How To Amigurumi here (with guides for left-handers AND right-handers too!)
And you can take a trip through these super cute crocheted creatures for inspiration. Be prepared to say ‘Awwww!’
