The simple shapes of kindergarten have resurfaced in all kinds of places. Bright pops of colour in the form of cute triangles, cheery circles and sweet squares are gracing frocks, bags, pillows, sofas, curtains, bangles, beds and even more places.

It’s a nostalgic, happy, colourful approach to design and I am all for it.

I think that simplicity is at the heart of good design and good looks, and the geometric trend plays right into that kind of radness. The other good thing about these kinds of pared down motifs is that they are super doable if you want to DIY. They are exactly the kind of thing you could replicated at home. You just need to choose your palette: brights, neutrals or pastel… (I love pastel!)
