Crepe paper. Hm. Mostly I remember it being smoothed over table tops before party happenings as a child. Or I remember sitting with a pair of scissors and a folded hunk of its colourful bounty, slicing through the layers at one inch intervals to make clunky streamers. We didn’t really do much more than that with it really. I guess we didn’t see how much promise it held.

Now, I know better. I can see that crepe paper is the beginning of all kinds of awesome things. It’s chock full of DIY project promise and not only that, it’s super cheap (unlike some fancy-fashionable party supplies!) Phew.
