Are you the crafty type? I am. I write a blog with crafty leanings and I have written a few cute craft books too. I really love the plodding, awesomeness that is making things. And even better I love making things to give to other people. Do you like to do that too?

Maybe you don’t yet know how to knit or crochet? You can get a quick spin with the needles (knitting) over at Wool & The Gang.  And you can take a peek over here for my daggy-cute video crochet tutorials if you want to get your hook (crochet) out!

You don’t have to make woolly Nanna-type things, if you don’t want to (although I do like to do that!)  There’s a whole host of more modern, design led crafty projects that might ignite your creative spark, and the more Wintery months are the very best time to start woolly craft adventures.  It’s pretty nice to curl up with a cup of tea and box set and some yarn. It’s the very definition of cosy (especially if you have a pot of soup on the stove and a pet on your feet!)

Here are a whole host of simple projects to get you crafting. Do you want to make things with me?!

Oooh! I love the blanket! The weather is getting cooler so I’m busy crocheting beanies at the moment. One of the benefits of having young children is being able to make hats with ears on them. And I’m trying out a new pattern for an aviator style beanie. If it works, people will die from the cuteness.

I learnt to crochet using your video tutorials! I found them so much easier to follow than other instructions I had looked at. I am a bit sick today so I’m about to curl up on the couch with a box set and a crochet softie I’m making for my friends’ little boy. You’re right, it is the definition of cosy!

Oh I am so glad I could help you learn, Angela! It takes a bit of dedication, doesn’t it, but it’s really worth it in the end! I”m on the couch too, after a bit few days. We can hook along together! Get well soon! x
