An idea for this happy new year

I stumbled across this “pin” on Pinterest last week and tracked down its original source for you. Seems like a great week to start a memory jar, doesn’t it?

… I started writing down the funnier moments of the day. I keep a jar on my desk, and when the kids say something particularly worthy of recording, I grab a scrap of paper (phone bill, envelope, chopstick holder.. whatever is lying around) and I quickly jot it down …  and when I’m having a below average day, I reach in and pull out a quote. – Brooke Reynolds, Inchmark

What do you think? A great idea? Something you could easily do in 2012?

We do this! Miss 7 writes down her favourite memory every few days and we work with Mr2. I also found it on Pinterest. Looking back at some of the things in there is the perfect ‘mood lifter’

What a great idea for grandparents too. I will be setting up a jar of memories. It will be great for them to have a look at what their cousins have been saying or doin as well Thanks for the idea.

A gorgeous idea for grandparents, Colleen. And you’re right, their cousins would LOVE to know what each other has been up to!

Ah I love this jar idea! I did this for a friend : gave her a little bag of blank slips of paper and the jar with an explanatory note attached! I think you could do this as a ‘special moments’ jar for new parents, too?! That would be dandy!! You post good stuff, Nikki-lady!
